Symptom???

I am embarassed, but what better place to ask. It all started this morning about 4:45 when I woke up because I had to use the bathroom.

When I got up I realized my back was wet, I thought it was a lot of sweat. Well it wasnt, I had peed in my sleep.

Today I have and to urinate a lot.

Is this a common sympotm?

I don't know if it is common or uncommon but it definitely happens as I've read it here before. KLD is the resident expert here on GU problems.

Dear Mom:

You might have a UTI and not know it. If you have another night like last night and still have frequency you should probably call your doctor.

Figures - these things always happen on a weekend.

If it is an MS thing, the MS nurses at the MS clinic have great tips. There are meds you can take as well, your neuro or urologist or even PCP might be able to help you.

I'd first suspect a urinary tract infection. As someone already noted, it's quite possible to have this without any of the "usual signs", like itching or burning. If it turns out to NOT be that, then bladder incontinence can be part of having MS. You'd need to tell your neuro, and be tested to be sure it's a neurological problem. There are meds you can take which can help.
