I am trying to find a lightweight/portable electric wheelchair (not scooter) and am not sure how to decide between the styles. Insurance covers all of them up to a certain amount, so I have to decide between the Jazzy/Hoveround kind or the lightweight side wheel kind like Invacare p9000 series. They both go about the same speed, but there are likehundreds of kinds to choose. Do you have any ideas about how to find the right one? There isn't any kind of wheelchair showroom. All my equipment at discharge came from one company, and they said they would order whichever I chose. This is just for occasional use while I recover from a stroke. I don't want the scooter because they weigh too much. Thank you!
