hello everyone:)

this is my first thread on here:)
eek!!

before i was diagnosed with my colliod cyst, i painted almost constantly in my free time, it took my mind off the pain and headache, i found ive always performed well under pressure and basicly threw myself into my artwork.
i shocked myself with how well and how much i did!! i put work in to shows and projects all over the world, won a few competions, and made a lot of friends along the way. i even got a place at my first choice university at the age of 26!! (little old me;)
i did all this as well as workin a full time job and having a family to look after as a single mum. (ok ill put my trumpet away now)
im getting on to my 1 year anniversary for my craniotomy to remove a colloid cyst.

generally i feel great!! my headaches are gone, i can balance again!! ive got the sight back in my right eye!! the main problem i still have is short term memory loss!!
this breaks my heart!! i havent been able to do any art at all really since i have problems remembering what i wanted to create and development of ideas is a total no no!! i wiped my computer of a lot of my artwork due to me being a bumbling fool after hospital!!

im finding it so hard to get started again, i look back at the old work i did and just wonder how i had the energy. and inspiration.

my main problem is, as well as feelin like i have an 'art' shaped hole in my heart, practically i start my uni course 6 months!!
does anyone have any tips on how i can kick start my arty brain again?
i know this sounds silly, but its a huge part of my life and i really need to get it back to be me again:)

thanks lu

That must be so difficult for you. I wish I could help. Why not try to do some sketching first using a pencil and paper to give you a hint on what you should do? Just a little help from a friend and I hope it works for you. All the best.
