WE have missed everyone and I cannot wait to go and get updated on everyone .I wanted to pop in and give everyone an update on Little Wesley. We have been fighting with Wesley's doctors for some time now for a diagnosis concerning his seizures whether they are epileptic or non-epilepstic. We had switched Neurologists once again on this quest about 6-7 months ago.Went through another series of testing that absolutely showed nothing . He sent us to a Psychologist to do an evaluation to see if they were indeed stemming from a psychological nature. The psychologist stated that there was NO WAY that this is the reason. And has been on a mission to help our case ever since. He has requested some more testing, and we even seen the Neurologist last Monday. The Neurologist told us he was leaning towards the fact that Wesley could indeed have epileptic seizures. One thing that concerns him is the recent decline in muscle strength, flexibility, and cognitive functioning worries him. We have returned to doing therapy O.T.,P.T. & Speech two days a week, and then he sees the psychologist for Bio-Feedback two days a week along with going to a headache clinic right now. It is so much along with home-schooling him , as he cannot tolerate school. It is too much for him cognitively. I hope we will be able to cut back as soon as things are squared away a wee bit. We also had our Annual Epilepsy/Encephalitis Awareness Walk this past weekend and it was a huge success. Wesley was so cute I will attempt to post pictures!((HUGS))) Mandy

Welcome back. :)
Im so glad you found some doctors that finally listen to you and are helping you. That is so important and such a relief. Im going thru the same thing. I wish I could some doctors to help get my disability approved that I've been working on for almost 6 yrs and some doctors to help me figure out whats happening with Adam (whether he has Aspergers, bipolor or whats going on in that precious head.).
I'll be glad to see the pics and glad the walk went well.

Hi Mandy,

I've been following your updates on E.Global. I was thinking next year we should make it a point to go to your walk, as Jac has both E's too. I posted an update here too : http://brain.hastypastry.net/forums/showthread.php?t=289

You sound busy, but I'm glad the docs are finally starting to come around.
Take care.

I guess I never got around to replying, but welcome back. I'm glad your psych is onboard and trying to help. Hope they can get things figured out and stop the decline.
