had my conversion done today after waiting months =)

It was successful and im still to have any abdominal pain for about 5 hours now since i came out of surgery! =D

Ive now got a fresh incision on my tummy again, its now the 5th incision that been put on top of one another, so now have 6 incisions on my belly.

Ive also now got 2 incisions on my neck from where the tube was threaded into the atrium via the artery in the neck. Im still to see what they look like as its covered, i think i will end up passing out seeing two gauges in my neck!!

Well i guess thats it for me.
No more VP shuntee.
Im now a VA shuntee instead. =)

Im overwhemlmed to see my ward now has wireless internet:D:D:D
its great. =)

thanks guys, =)
i feel well in my self, just feel a tad nauseous this morning with a very sore neck and tum =(

My surgeon is lovely though, real lovely, as are all these nurses here. Ward round is gonna begin soon as its that time again.

Not sure how long im in for, maybe until tomorrow or monday.
Just being prepped with antibiotics for now to fight any infection there may be, as an infection in the heart, now thats not too good. :/

Yesterday before surgery, im sure we have all experienced the blabbering whilst going under and not realised what you have said until youre awake. Well i only went and told my mum 'Mum, you look older than what you are!' I'm sure i didnt really mean it ;)

Ive got a chest x-ray this morning to to make sure everythings in the right place and whatknock.

&& they shaved my head, well a small part of it over the incision just incase they had to go into it again, which they didnt, so now i have a horrible short patch in place of the shaved patch that i was proud of growing since september =( Sad i know ;) xo

I'm glad to hear everything went so well and you are on the computer already. That has to be a good sign. It is great that your ward is able to accommodate internet so readily.
