Hi Suse~
I couldn't use my avatar feature either, so I'm not sure if we won't be able to, or it was an oversight. I thought I'd wait till the dust settled a little to ask, but hey--now I don't hafta!! :D I was able to put a picture on my profile though.

Here's the avatar (http://brain.hastypastry.net/forums/showthread.php?t=36174) thread that explains when you'll be able to use one. Click on UserCP at the top left, and you'll be able to start using one, when Edit Avatar shows on your User Control Panel, under Settings & Options.
