Hi Everyone..

Happy Thanksgiving!!..I hope you all have a good one!..I am going to my girlfriends on Thanksgiving..If my truck will make it there..Ive been looking for another one..The old girl has 209,000 miles on her..and still doesnt use a drop of oil..Unfortunately everything else has been caving in around it

My brother goes in for his appointment Monday morning..I hope everything is ok, but I will have a better idea then what the story is

Somebody stole my Handicap Parking Placard out of my truck today!.. ..What kind of a low life does that?..Unbelievable!..Could be bad karma for whoever did it

Well, my boat is sold, and we are waiting for the tranfer of the Coast Guard Documentation to go through..untill then I still have to keep an eye on the boat, because the guy who bought it lives about 2 hours from here..Cant wait untill its a done deal

Ive been feeling ok, mostly, and outside of some rain the weather has been pretty good..I went to my support group this morning, and we made plans for our annual Christmas party on Dec 9

That about wraps it up for me..How was your week?

Hello. My name is Shirlee and I live in Alabama and was diagnosed with PD back in June. I just accidentally stumbled on to this website and really don't know anything about it. I also am not good with computers.....guess you could say I am electronically challenged. Anyway, just wanted to say hi to whom ever is around. Shirlee in Alabama

Welcome Shirlee..There are some great folks here, and a wealth of PD info..If you need help with computer skills there are folks who can help you out with that as well..I have learned alot about computers since I joined here 2 years ago

Welcome, Shirley,

Having PD is quite scary, and having no where to go is even worse. There are folks here that are absolutely wonderful...and as you have probably discovered...as fellow insomniacs, there is usually someone here all night.

Feel free to email me at any time. kmaggio1@earthlink.net

The woman at the DMV office who issued me my handicapped placard warned me that they are often stolen. I was quite upset to hear that, but I am glad she told me. I try to lock my vehicle when I am out and about - so far so good!

Blessings

Along with handicapped placards, Virginia Inspection stickers are stolen too. Makes you wonder about people, doesn't it?

We stayed home for T'giving and family came in, saved Tiger (DH) from having to travel. Earlier in week the tree service came in to trim, shape, remove trees that were overhanging the power lines (glad that the work is done, but another week would have been better).

While my GP and I are certain that my recent rash of optical migraines are a sign of stress over the past year's Tiger illnesses, he still wanted me checked out by a neuro. That was Tuesday and now I face brain CT, carotid doppler, and cervical X-ray. Interestly I failed a couple of the neuro tests - hmmm?

We really don't need another person with neuro problems in this house! Tiger's MS and his Parkinson's is MORE than enough!

Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was pleasant and where did you find the oversized bibs? I need to make a couple for Tiger.

I found mine at a store for disabled found in my local hospital. It is wonderful not to wear 4 or 5 shirts a day due to my messy eating habits. Also, you might search on the web for "Adult Bibs" on google and see what hits you get. I bet you get plenty you could order online.

God Bless,
Vicky

Judy, I am so sorry that you are having neuro problems, too. I hope that you find a quick and easy answer.

Thanks for the hint, Vicky. Tiger's OT left a catalog here and I did find one in there - duh? Where did I leave my brain!!

Thanks, Mama - hope it's minor but tests will tell, won't they.

Hi, I have a Dr. Leonard's Health care catalog and it has
nearly anything you might need for someone with a handicap.
Their address is 100 Nixon Lane, P. O. Box7821, Edison, NJ.
NJ 08818-7821. I am sure they will send a catalog out to
you right away. I don't see a email address anywhere.
