I had the Walkaide for a week. Once I became comfortable using it I fell in love.
One day i walked a little, the next day a little more and about 3/4 mile the next day.
It improved my balance-- significantly.
Then I was shocked when the Hanger facility called my insurance (which had been faxed a 'scrip by my neuro) and my insurance said they would cover it 100%. My husband's insurance came back saying they would cover it for 80%.
So, mine should come early next week and they will transfer my computer program thay have stored from the loaner I had used for a week
It isn't totally easy to adjust to but I became comfortable rapidly. The zapping can be uncomfortable but I learned by fiddling.
I keep saying that I want my leg back! I hated turning in that loaner so much!
