hi,
I'm new here, my name is Shawna, I'm 31 and i was injured in a car accident in 07 which left me with spinal stenosis in the cervical neck (basically the base of my skull feels like i have a pole across it all the time) im fed up with pain killers and really fed up with band aid procedures. i have had trigger point injections faucet injections and bilateral nerve burning ... all have failed. my doctor now is wanting me to do ESI, i must say what im reading is making me want to run. I wanted surgery however i was told the risk of death is high and no one would touch me ... due to the location of the injury. I'm curious if there are any good treatments out there with significant results... if so what are they and how can i get them. however if you are having trouble with meds as i have been since my accident i have found one that seems to lower my pain to a tolerable level its vico-profin 7.5-200, if this helps anyone i will feel better.( i know i was having residual headaches from my medication for treating my headaches...what a circle! endless and tiring..)
well i hope i hear from someone im worried and scared and feeling strangely alone yet in a crowd of people whom unfortunately suffer too.
Take care all
Shawna

Hi Shawna,

I have had cervical ESI's and they aren't too bad. My doc gives me versed to put me out for the time necessary. When it is done you go home and rest for the rest of the day. There is a spinal disorders forum that may help more than I can as most of my problems are Lumbar. The link is below. There are wonderful, knowledgable and experienced people to help you.

I hope to see you there!
Kathy
