Sharp pain

Hi, New member 1st post. Question : For the past 2 days I've been experiencing intermittant sharp pains in the upper-left side of my head ( just left of the center top part). Only lasts for a second or two and feels like being pinched by a needle, or like a needle is being pushed through my head. No other symptoms. Any thoughts ? Family history : Father died of a stroke at age 42; I'm 44. Should I tell my doc now or wait a while longer to see if it goes away ?

can't help you there. i have sharp painbs but when it comes to having them in my head I say, see a doctor please.

Welcome and I hope you get an answer for this & that it is something easy enough to take care of. Look around and see if you can find any forums you'd like to join in and stay with us. We might not be able to answer all questions but most of us do like to try and help each other out.

I especially hope those pains in your head have subsided and that it was perhaps a sinus infection or something similiarly related.

Hi & welcome to BT. I get sharp head pains all the time. Try not to freak out. Make sure your BP is OK. This could even be weather related. Bad time of year for sinus infections in some areas. If it presists or gets worse see your doc or go to ER for a head "check". Good luck!
