Don't ask me how, but I did...
My teachers are good, but nothing's really changed. Everyone's in their little cliques. I sit by myself in most classes, and when we do group work, I get put with the dregs who don't want me in their group anyway, because no one else chose me. I don't know why I thought things would be different. I thought that maybe, being the last year, people would stop being so clique-y and judgemental, but I was wrong.
Oh well... one week down, about 35 to go. Counting down the weeks and days..

Hi Erin,
Were you able to get the location of the common room changed so you are able to access it?
Hang in there sweet

High school sucks. Period. I never fit in to the cliques either. I tolerated them. They tolerated me. Anyhoo- I had a friend in school named Sandy. She was in a wheelchair. She was quite spastic and had bad scoliosis. Her speech was hard to understand. She didn't have a lot of friends. People never took the time. Which was a shame, because she was such a sweetheart. Me, my best friend, and 2 other girls sat with Sandy at lunch every day for 2 years.
I still think about Sandy all the time. I wonder how she is. I admire her. She had such a difficult time physically and emotionally, but yet she smiled all the time. I miss her. Out of all the kids I went to school with.. friends... enemies... cool kids...... SHE is the one person I think about most often. And it's not just because of MY kids. She just made such a huge impact on my life when I was 16 year old and had no clue about disabilities. And you know, as corny as it may sound, YOU may be making that same impact on one of your classmates and you don't know it.
I know it's tough. I know that I would NEVER, EVER go back to high school myself (my husband would love nothing more than to do it all over HA! no way!) God I hated it. But you're almost there!
