1/50th the mu binding of morphine.
Ultram is 1/6000 the mu binding of morphine.

This could be a useful agent.....but unsure of potency as far as the opioid mechanism of pain relief. Probably more NE than opioid in mechanism.

Steve?

So Doc Steve...what sort of scheduling (if at all) do you suspect it will end up getting? Just seeing the different between it and Tramadol relative to u-opioid binding I would think it would end up being scheduled. Lately I've seen alot of folks in other forums who speak of Tramadol being very "addicting" and want it scheduled (good luck...that was something I know Ortho really fought to prevent)...personally I consider any substance, aspirin, food, beer to have a potential to be abused...once even had a family member who was addicted to Tylenol of all things.

If I knew it was effective I would consider maybe using it for the extra flares and b/t I am having during this opioid reduction. Wonder how expensive it will be...hmm... Any ideas how long it'll take to get reviewed and put on the market?

Regards,

Troy
