Lauren update 02-10-09

Ali called tonight, I missed her call, but she left a message. Lauren is having problems with her heart not pumping effectively and that is part of why her bowels aren't working according to the docs (not enough blood supply getting to her intestines). Her fasting blood sugar this morning was 312 (normal would be 80). She said they are looking at a couple of more weeks at least in the hospital. That's all she had to say, sounded frustrated and tired, as I am sure she is.

Keep the good thoughts and prayers going, please.

Sorry to hear that Lauren is going through so much. I can understand how tired and discouraged Ali must be. It has been such a long haul and not over yet. Prayers for Lauren's complete recovery and for some rest for Ali.

I'm so sad to hear this. :( I was Praying they would be home sooner then a few weeks. I continue to keep sweet Lauren in my Prayers. I'm also worried about Ali, this is really taking a toll on her!! Ali, if you read this, I'm Praying for Lauren daily and you continue to be in my heart and thoughts daily too!! Thanks for the update Lisa, I just wish it would have been better news!! :(

That poor child, what she is going through. Prayers continued for Lauren and her family. I can't even imagine how hard that must be for her mom and dad emotionally and then trying to juggle hospital stays for such an extended period of time. I'm assuming that one of them has to basically live there too due to her age. Heartfelt sympathy for all they are handling and going through right now.
