i had them and they got in eye i guess

eye was swollen infection orbitital cellulitis

im getting better

i wonder how i can prevent it happening again-it was awful very terrible

i can imagine people 100 years ago maybe killing themselves over having had it

its adult chicken pox

then i got rash from the 5 day meds rash is going away

then i got a bruise black spot on male organ and thought it was ganggreen

what can i say ?its just weird

Hi clouds, I'm very very sorry to hear you've been so ill with the shingles. I think I read you'd been in hospital too. Shingles is a dreadful problem. Having it in the eye would feel unbearable but I can only imagine because I've never had shingles.

We used to have a forum here for Shingles or it might have been Post Herpetic neuralgia.

Take care of yourself. Lots of people worry about you, clouds. Make sure you eat properly so your body can heal fast.

Were you really run down before the outbreak of the shingles this time? Have you ever had it before? As I said, try to make sure you get some good nutrition so you can get strong.

There is now a new vaccine that is being used to boost immunity to shingles. About 5 years ago, there was a massive study coordinated through the VA to test this vaccine which is similar to the chicken pox variety.

Basically, people had found that an adult attack of shingles frequently evolved into a post herpetic neuralgia which significantly impacted the quality of life for the aged population. They hoped to find, that by giving the modified chicken pox vaccine, immunity would be boosted. It was.

I was part of the study and was one of the people given the real stuff...not the placebo.
