ok so how many of you has this happened to? Trish remember my sporadic numbness etc... WELL it turns out I go to my follow up appt. at hospital and of course my doc is in emergency surgery... so I see the doc who assisted in my Dec surgery. He is going over stuff with me and asks if I have stopped the aggrenox and I say yes but I didn't do it cold turkey as I don't think that is safe, I weaned myself off it, and he says well you should be fine because you are taking your aspirin...
HELLO what aspirin???? As not one person told me that I should be on aspirin!! Even mind you when I called regarding the numbness stuff. SO he tells me that not only am I to be on it but because of the stent I will be taking the large aspirin for the rest of my life. News Flash.... If you are ranked a top surgeon and neuro hospital in the country don't you think that the priority of the patients and their future health should be top priority. I feel like a broken record here but man I can't say it enough COMUNITICATION is NOT THESE DOCS STRONG POINTS!!! We really do seem to have to learn it on our own!! This is also the time for me to say again how thankful I am to all of you here on this forum, your knowledge, advise and support have been and continue to be my driving force for asking or rather hounding all those who should and do know to share all the information with me no matter how insignificant they may seem to think it is. SO THANK YOU ALL!!!
p.s. I also was told to go see the ent for the sinus thing, this second doc thinks that there may be a need for surgery for some type of blockage... Great just what I need. Keep your fingers crossed
