can cauda equina happen without surgery or injury trigging it?

is it possible to happen randomly itself or as part of another condition?

and how common is it for people hypermobility syndrome or ehlos danlos syndrome to develpe the condion?

finally how long can it be left for without treatment? how long would it be possible to carry on without a diagnosis or drs figuring out you have it when they are lookin for other things?

im asking these because this could be the problem thats causing alot of things iv been dealing with for a few months. im having an mri on tuesday that would pick it up if i had it but drs arent looking for it.

i have bladder incontinance (total loss of sensation with bladder now), sever constipation, walking proeblms, mainly floppy legs and dragging feet (podiatrst and physio say it looks like my nervs in my feet arent working), consant severe lower back pain.
i have hypermobility syndrome but i have not injured my back or had surgery.
My SI joint is very problematic so i dont know if that could cause problems.

just getting desperate and trying to find anything to take to the drs as they are struggling to put eveything down to one thing. im also going blind and have muscle twitchs and spasms. they have ruled out MS

Carrie, If you Google Cauda Equina Syndrome, like I just did. Click on the first title as it spells out many ways you can get CES w/o surgery or injury. I hope this helps!

Take care,
