View Full Version : I don't know where else to go
I am posting here because i am such a reck right now and i don't know where else to go. My grandmother is 90 and has suffered with chronic pain of unknown origin all of my life. As she has gotten older, the pain has only intensified. We just found out her liver and kidneys are failing and that she has cancer somewhere, but the origin is unknown. We are putting her on hospice so that hopefully her last days will be as pain free as possible. I am sure she won't even last a week. My grandfather passed away in March of last year, so it hasn't quite been a year yet since his passing. I know she will go to a better place, wherever that is, and be with my grandfather, her husband of almost 70 years. To have watched her deteriorate for years now, the grief has already started for me, knowing she doesn't have much time left. I am so sad and i just wanted to post. Thank you for reading.

Jess, my heart aches for you. You've been through so much yourself......easy to see where you got your strength! Please post as often as you feel is needed,we'll be here for you. (((((gentle hugs)))))
Jess, i am sorry your going through this. I can understand about grief all too well. I lost my husband in 2002, after 3 long years of suffering. I then lost my dad in 2004, he passed from cancer. Then in 2006 I lost my precious son. He was killed in a horrible accident. The three most important men in my life! I know they are in a much better place now, but i still miss them so much. It helps to talk, so post when you feel like you need too.......again, im sorry

Geez, I am so sorry for your loss. I am new here today. don't even know if I am doing this right. I am 18 days post-op from brain surgury. I feel pretty good with the exception that i cant smell or taste anything...god diet tool.:)I am sorry about you Grandmother. I live with an elderly couple and it is very diffficut to watch them suffer and lose their everyday memories. My friend Lorraine gets so mad because it takes her two days to remember something she used to recall in seconds but i gotta give it to her. She has been working for VIP services at one of the local casinos for 20 years and she is 85, I hate it beause they treat her like garbage, constantly on her for being a little slow, I know what they are up to...they want to freak her out and cohere her into quiting but she is a strong woman and i know she won't quit.
As for her husband, he would do anything for her, he is 72 and he works for a loal car rental agency. He suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome from the Vietnam War, it can get very scary at times. I hope you feel better Jess, If you wan't to e-mail me personally my e-mail is janicecarone@yahoo.com,
Have a great day!!!!!
 That how I feel alot anyway
