Unfortunatley I have been comparing my symptoms with Central Vertigo vs. Peripheral (sp) vertigo and am more worried now because it would seem to me that it is central, from which the causes scare me very much. For anyone who didnt see my previous posts, this is an excerpt of me describing it to my doctor:
"About 3-4 weeks ago., while driving, I suddenly couldn’t focus becaue it was like my vision was shaking/spinning. It last for about 5 seconds then was gone.
Well, two nights ago I was reading something, then all of a sudden couldn’t focus. I felt like my head was spinning and I looked at the walls. It is the same effect as if you sit in your chair and spin yourself around, then try and focus. That is exactly what it looks like. It last about 5 seconds again. I thought I felt pressure in my ears, but not sure. I didnt feel nausea, and have no headache."
I am having an MRI tomorrow morning followed by an optometrist visit, who actually reccomended it because just by hearing my symptoms on the phone she thought it was more neuro. My doc yesterday did some routine tests like finger tapping, asking if i had trouble swallowing, breathing, numbness, tingling, etc. No to all those and he said that outwardly my eyes appeared to have normal movement. Just really confused about this and obviously hoping it is nothing serious. I should mention I am 29, if that makes any difference.
