hello friends!
has anybody here read about the raw foods movement?
the people who follow this diet believe if you heat foods over a certain temperature, it kills all the vitamins and nutrients in them.
i'm still not certain about that, because i know that lycopene, the healthy chemical in tomatoes, is actually more abundant in cooked tomato products than it is in fresh tomatoes.
but, i am interested in the concept of eating raw foods as much as possible.
a restaurant that serves raw foods recently opened in the area of michigan where i live. it is a bit out of the way, but i think i will have lunch there one day.
if anybody has any info or experience with raw foods, please share.
thank you for sharing and caring,
jeannie
