I had a Brain Aneurysm just over twelve months ago, which I was very lucky to survive, I had the coiling operation done, I have very limited vision in my right eye and use of my left leg was limited, also my short term memory was affected, with lots of physio and ot I'm walking and my short-term memory is alot better, I was wondering if anyone knew of any programs or exercises which could assist in recovering vision.

lly time is your best friend, unless it is double vision like I have,,Then you can get prism glasses ( a little costly ) but worth to be able to see ..They say my double vision will not get better but worse and so far that has been true,,But hopefully, in time, your sight will get better and better,,It just takes so darn long for the brain to heal after a burst..Have you asked your Docter..? What did he say..Good luck,,Hugs, Cindy

I Wish I Could Have Some Good News For You About Your Eyesight. I Am Like You In Some Degree, Due To Annie I Lost All The Sight In My Left Eye And Only Have 28% Vision In My Right, I Was Told That There Was Nothing That Could Be Done To Restore My Eyesight. My Annie Was Also Coiled After It Rupture. The Doc Says That The Annie And Its Coiling Has Cut Off The Blood Supply To My Eyes. But Let Us Hope That Someday They Will Be Able To Replace The Veins That Ruptured Instead Of Coiling Them Or Clipping
Good Luck

Brent,
was your loss of vision from blood getting in the eyes? The reason I ask is that I lost my sight after my ruptured anuersym. I had surgery to remove the blood that was blocking my vision but I have limited eye sight in my left eye which was from the rupture.

Brent,
i am also a post coiling patient, the coiling went well everything seems to be in place but my docs also thought i would have paralysis on my left side the rupture was right frontal lobe,my rupture was august 2007,since then i have had to have a cervical spine replacement, which included four or five donor vertebrae and eight titanium screws and two titanium plates my doc's think the annie caused cervical and lumbar spinal deterioration, still not sure, just when you think your making progress BAM,,,,,,. we all have a long journey and it's sad i think this is the most misunderstood illness out there and pray for more research and support for us. GOD BLESS YOU and i wish you and yours the best, mimi

Hi, my husband suffered from Tersons syndrome, which was blood behind the eye. He had surgery to removed the blood that never got absorbed. He than developed a cateact and had that taken care of and his vison improved. But now he has developed a bubble behind the eye so are watching it. It did effect his sight again./The Dr's had him see a specialist.
I don't know of any exercise to help.

I had clipping in August of 08 and my eye sight is still messed up, double and blurry vision. They say time helps, however mine seems to be just staying the same. I have seen specialist and the also said the famous word"time" but still the same here. There is no quick fix according to my surgeon, only time and prism in glasses. Oh what fun......
I wish you all the best.
