i am new here and i am from portugal. my boyfriend was the one who found this site as the result of a google search for stuff about brain aneurysms.
i am also here as the concerned only daughter of a 66-year-old woman who suffered recently from a ruptured brain aneurysm and had a surgery done 2 weeks ago..
it all happened on 28th october and mum is still in the hospital but she's going back home very soon.
at the moment her brain is awfully confused and though she can speak a little bit, she can't feed or take care of herself on her own and she can't walk as well.
also my father died 7 years ago and she can't remember that... and i don't really know what to tell her anymore. once she's back at home she will surely notice that he's not there.
i am here basically asking for help, namely if anyone here has suffered such problem - having a close relative in the situation my mother is at the moment who can't remember that a very dear close relative died... she keeps asking me about dad. she believes he is working and that's the reason he can't visit her at the hospital. i fear what her reaction will be like when she finds out the truth.

please, i need some words of help and/or tips on how to deal with this...
thanx in advance.
