It is with deep sorrow that I post the news of the death of our friend, Tootsie, as we all knew her. She passed away unexpectedly on November 14, 2008.
Tootsie posted on many forums. She had personal experience with autism, fibromyalgia, scoliosis and Alzheimer's disease.
Tootsie was an avid swimmer, gardener, knitter, basket maker, and reader. She also loved to solve crossword puzzles with her husband. In the Emotional Support forum, Tootsie regaled us with posts about her garden plot, canning tomatoes, swimming laps at the natatorium and knitting afghans.
Tootsie was 72 years old and was married to her husband for 51 years. She had 4 children and 8 grandchildren. She was also a nurse for 45 years.
I am sure all of us who benefitted from Tootsie's words of wisdom will grieve her death. She came from a generation of women who were self-sufficient and unflinchingly lived with whatever problems life dealt.
So, I say goodbye to her with her own inimitable closing...
