I am often asked just what is an aneurysm and how does it effect my life. I repeat this story I heard a few years ago. 'Brain aneurysms are unique in their ability to strike like lightning, without rhyme or reason and without mercy. Life is dramatically altered forever. A battle begins for the amount and quality of life that can be recaptured. Every battle is unique.'

You got that right Kyria!

Technically: What is a Brain Aneurysm?

A brain aneurysm, also called a cerebral or intracranial aneurysm, is an abnormal bulging outward of one of the arteries in the brain. It is estimated that up to one in 15 people in the United States will develop a brain aneurysm during their lifetime.

Women are more susceptible.

Ruptured or unruptered - an Aneurysm is life altering for sure!

Today's medical procedues save thousands of people though compared to the past poor souls.

There are so many good reasons to live a healthy lifestyle and prevent Aneurysms.

Here's am interesting article I found :)

Kyria,
Great analogy there. Funny i never really knew much about them, and got the crash course like so many of us. For me it took me 7 months and Trish to learn to spell my medical condition. LOL, i can blame my brain issues for that as well.
I understood it more like the tire analogy, where tire has soft spot and needs to be patched.

Hi Kyria,

Just wondering if you were able to find some doctors to set up with in Florida?
I know you were worried about that - did anyone's recommendations help?

Cheers and Happy New Year!

Trish
