thanks Lavan. I've just viewed Greece. And was surprised to learn our weather is better. But no beach here, LOL.

I'll remember this thread as hubby can get this easily but me, I put waaay to many things in Bookmarks and then promptly can't find it!

Joy,

i also have zillions of bookmarks... when i bought my computer last winter, i had not worked on a computer for 7 years... i was simply using the ones in public librairies mainly for e-mails and some searches... i had totally forgotten that we have to create folders for our bookmarks to be found faster... i'm still trying to get organized with them... but i will wait a bit... as i'm about to switch internet browser from internet explorer to firefox to be my main one... so, i'll organize both the same way when i get more familiar with firefox...

some examples of my folders:
HEALTH - EPILEPSY, HEALTH - GENERAL, HEALTH - DEPRESSION, HEALTH - FM & CFS, HEALTH - ALLERGIES & MCS, PETS, ARTS & CRAFTS, COMPUTERS & INTERNET, NUTRITION & RECEIPES, PHOTOGRAPHY, HORTICULTURE, FORUMS, LANGUAGES, THRIFT STORES & GARAGES SALES...

so, we might possibly have the joy to meet on a mediteranean beach some day ! meanwhile, have a wonderful safe & stay-at-home day in ICE & SNOW WONDERLAND !!

ah if only I had a laptop and could get myself into a comfortable position so I could stay online longer. But not for some time yet I'm afraid. That all makes good sense about the folders or whatever. Probably that's why I haven't done mine that way yet, LOL.

Joy,
do you have a comfortable chair so that your 2 feet can be flat on the floor... and keyboard/mouse sliding drawer/table at an appropriate height?

Yes as close as possible.

This takes me back to when I was working. I actually took a class in ergonomics, best I recall as to what this is called. It helped me get a different type set up at work for sure. It helped me (?helped ha) move from an area that had 80 to 82 degree heat temp and close by an unfiltered smoking room where students went to smoke. Unfiltered!

Can you imagine the smoke stink that I got in my small area that was originally 2 study carrels with the one wall between them removed.

It was BAD.

They moved me to the top floor that was adjacent to the works for the whole building. The temp there was only 60 to 62 degrees! But this was after I had sinus surgery (FESS) so they didn't have a leg to stand on.

I can't say it was any better. It was a glass enclosed room. I promptly found plain brown wrapping paper from our mailing room and put this up over the windows.

No one could see in at all and there wasn't aanything for me to look out at anyway. Just more and more rows of books and hardly anyone ever visited the upstairs at all anyway.

It had the Goverment Documents & such up there and on one end the children's book collection (in college for college students studying anything child related) so it was seldom used either.

Anyway, my job was always either too hot or too cold and I was uncomfortable the whole 5 years I worked there.

But I loved looking at all the books for sure.

My trouble is just my hip. Sitting hurts regardless if the chair is padded or not. Has for years even back to the early 90's or late 80's even. For years. But I know I'll never have the hip replaced unless I absolutely can not find any comfort at all sitting or lying. I do not do well with surgery at all.

So I sit awhile, then lie down for awhile and just keep mixing it up that way. With very little standing & walking in between.

Wow, a whole book almost of my past miserable last 5 years of work history. Except I did not mention the bosses I worked for. Don't ask, one was a real ding bat.
