Dear PSP FAMILY,

WISH YOU ALL MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR.

This PSP FAMILY is a great Bunch of folks spread all over the world who have faced difficult times with their loved ones. They have chosen to walk on a path that today very few will be willing to do as it involved sacrifice, hardwork, tears and frustration. Many have ruined their careers and personal lives in trying to support a PSP Loved one.

As another year has passed by, I take this moment to reflect on what life has meant to me. At the age of 32, I decided to look after MUM who had PSP and the next 5-6 years just flew by... Most of those who used to meet over the net are aware of the struggles and pain that was involved. The PSP FAMILY shared their experience and emotions over the internet and we all used to trust eachother and made a commitment to support eachother. Sadly the data that we had compiled over the old PSP FORUM has been lost. There were many articles in there which would have helped NEW PSP PATIENTS, CARERS and their loved ones. If anyone has saved articles on their computer, I request that they be reloaded on this wonderful website.

I REMEMBER YOU ALL VERY MUCH. YOU HAVE TOUCHED MY LIFE IN A VERY SPECIAL WAY. WHEN I WAS DOWN, YOU ALL CAME TO PICK ME UP AND ECNOURAGED ME TO CARRY ON INSPITE OF YOUR ON DIFFICULTIES. TRULY THE MEANING OF FRIENDSHIP AND FAMILY IS EXPLAINED TO ME BY YOUR DEEDS AND YOUR WARMTH. Bob and Jan really contibuted alot in bringing us all together. The sunday Chat was an experience wherein laughter and enjoyment was possible in difficult times. The short messages had enough power to show that there are people who care.

I thank you all for the wonderful beings that you are. May the Good lord bless you and your family with lots of Love, wealth and Happiness.

MAY 2009 fulfil all your dreams and wishes.

With lots of Love

Sanjay

Happy New Year Sanjay.

It is hard to believe that my mom has been gone 1 1/2 years and my dad has been gone 2 years. What a long road we have travelled together.

I hope the new year brings wonderful things for you.

Happy New Year Sanjay!

Glenda came here from Australia and spent Christmas and the New Year with me and my family. Chris joined in and we celebrated the new year together. It would have been nice to have you here as well! I took Glenda to the airport early this morning and already miss her.

We all found so much on this forum, and find it so sad to see it so quiet. I don't come here as often as I used to, but I have tried to keep the link open. I do so much remember how helpful you were to me with our having such similar ideas of caring for our mothers. Many thanks to you! I'm sure you miss your mother as much as I miss mine!

I do wish all a happy new year, and hope that 2009 is the year that they find a cure for the disease which brought us all together!
