My prayers and wishes to everyone for a slammin wonderful excellent super fun Christmas!
Enjoying one another, fun gifts, great food (and no bloating) to all, and to all a good night, lolol.
I'm so stoked. This is the first year the kids know about Santa, somehow it relieved that suspended tension for me about when to tell them, and making sure they don't find out.
Have a great and super holiday everyone!
God Bless!

Seasons greetings to all.
The last 'believer' amongst us finally crumpled, so we had fully secular christmas for the first time.

POGUE! OMG I could not help but think of you today, or rather your husband and his 'talent' for gift giving as I opened my gifts from dh. He had this huuuuge look of anticipation and excitement as I began to open this huge heavy heavy box. I thought, "Oh Lord, this is gigantic, he looks so happy, what ever this is, I have to pretend to love it". And that is something I can't seem to do, not for long anyhow. Unlike me, he gives gifts so HE can feel like he didn't screw up or did a good job or something like that, still not sure what his exact objective is but he seems to feel crushed if he 'fails' at getting what I like, it's weird. When I give a gift, if the receiver doesn't like it, I'd rather they say so and get the money back and get what THEY like, which is my objective.
So, I heave this present off the lazyboy and onto the floor. I thought of how I removed bandaides as a kid, and rip it open fast. To my wonderful surprise, he had gotten me a four piece 18V set of power tools - and if that's not cool enough the ONE tool I always wanted and never got (a 5 1/2" circular saw!) was one of the four tools - and if you can even stand more good news, there is an extra 18V battery in the case!!!!!
I am so not a jewelry and fancy stuff kind of gal, however, he got me jewelery too and managed to get the ONE thing I do like always, gold hoop earings (Carmen was shopping with him and remembered me saying I wished I had a pair LAST year).
In addition, 2 days ago I got myself 4 storage containers with lids on sale for $1 each, so can even build my worm farm with the kids like I wanted. Hoop earrings, power tools and a worm farm, doesn't get better than that.
