Okay, the temper tantrum was not teething, nor was it a temper tantrum. He slept all night. He slept all morning. He played some this afternoon, but he was mostly wanting to be held. He refused to eat. He would drink milk. Huge mistake.

We were watching It's a Wonderful Life. He was falling asleep on my lap. He had a nasty tonic, which bordered on generalizing into a tonic clonic as he came out of it. He convulsed rather violently for a few seconds. I was holding him, so I soothed him and he fell back to sleep. About 10 - 15 minutes after the seizure, he projectile vomitted all the milk all over himself and me. I handed him to his father, saying put him in the tub! He projectile vommited again all over the hallway on the way to the tub. I pulled off my nightie and roughly cleaned myself up, put on a robe and took Jimmie back to put in the tub. David cleaned up the hallway. We washed the boy up and David went out to get tylenol and motrin (we'll use them in tandem tonight as needed) and pedialyte...no more milk for him. He does seem to have a slight fever. Anyway, I got him back to sleep, and I washed my nightie and his jammies and David's jammies, which were saved the worse of it, but man the house stinks, so anything that was possibly hit, I washed. Mystery explained. My boy doesn't have tantrums like that. Poor baby...sick for Santa's visit.

I hope he's better today. Not fun having all these new toys and not feeling well enough to play with them.

Stick with thin fluids. Hope the day is calm.

AWWW, ((((((poor baby)))))) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v90/moose53/MINIS/HUGS/lrteddy.gif

It really stinks to be sick at this time of the year. But, at least he's got some wonderful presents to entice him to fight off the nasties.

I hope you and your husband don't come down with any of those yucky things running around now.

BIG HUGS (and love) to all of you.

Barb

He seemed to feel better much of the day, eating baby food for breakfast and lunch and managing a little turkey and bread for dinner. No more vomitting. Lots of whining though. But he seemed to have fun with his aunts and uncles and cousins. They were all very amuzed by his walking and spent a lot of time letting him walk around to everyone. He had some diarrhea before we left. Mommy couldn't handle it what with being pregnant...gagging horribly. Aunt Beth took care of it...thank heavens. And he fell asleep in the car on the way home pretty much before we left Aunt Beth' s neighborhood. We'll stick with baby food and pedialyte for another day or so.

Only 4 more months of flu season (April) to go. This is just aweful. I feel so badly for everyone, it reminds me of when that Nowalk virus went through the states during the holidays and all those enteroviruses that lasted a full week to get through the entire system. I agree with you, Major yuck. That is so nasty when they blast you! It only happened once to me and I was so shocked by it all over the walls and dripping off my hair that I started jumping up and down in a full tantrum myself. I totally lost it as I didn't even know where to start with such a mess of everything in sight. Hope you are feeling fresh as a daisy again and the bug is just a kid one that won't spread to everyone else in the family. Hope the worst of the nasty bugs are gone already and 2009 is a year of good health and strong immune systems for us all.
