As the last few days have been filled with last minuet presents and preparation for a meal on Christmas Eve with all of my family to celebrate the birth of Christ, I take a couple of minuets to reflect on pain.

While you and I experience what some call the worst pain known to mankind, there is another pain I wouldn't trade my pain for. That would be the pain some are feeling as they have their first Christmas without a loved one. The loss of a spouse, parent, or child can be especially acute at this time. Please keep these people in your prayers.

Thank you Gene for that reminder. My neighbors lost their 3 year old daughter to Neuroblastoma cancer this summer.Little Marissa was a joy to us all and she fought bravely for 18 months.Their pain is un-imaginable to me.
Let us all count our blessings. Merry Christmas to you all.

Thank you Gene, it is very true. It's now Dec 26th here in Australia and yesterday we celebrated our Christmas day with the family gathering at my Mothers house. It was a wonderful day with my Mom, brother, sisters and spouses. It was and still is saddened by the loss of our father last year. Today, we're driving an hour and a half to share a second Christmas gathering at an Aunt's home with all the extended family - Aunts, uncles, cousins, 2nd cousins and all. Again there's loss there - also last year, we lost 2 members from this part of our family and we're all so close.

I'm happy though to be spending the time we have with our families and looking forward to this afternoon, for this time we get. I'm also relieved that my TN is staying mild over the Christmas break. I truly have much to be thankful for!

I though, do share other's pain as they move through such a profound time of year with their losses and Wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas - and in this instance, keeping thoughts of your loved ones both here with us or gone in our hearts!

I know my Dad, Aunt and Uncle lost to heaven last year, were / are here with us in spirit to help us share the holiday! Gone, but never forgotten.

Happy holidays everyone!

Yes, Gene, You are very thoughtful with a good insight. Instead of sitting with me, I worked at the soup kitchen again, most rewarding. I still check out the windows now and then for locust. Trust we all had a very Merry Christmas! bob
