Hello all, it's been awhile since I've posted. Sorry about that. I also seemed to have lost track of time, not hard to do!! LOL
Yesterday was my 2nd annieversary and I'm still alive and kickin' for the most part. Still have other problems w/ my failing joints and the like, but nothing I can't handle, despite how annoying it can be.
Hope this finds everyone doing well and welcome to all of the newcomers.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Hey Lisa,
Congrats! Wow ~ nice news for you to share at Christmas time!
I hear you on the achy failing joints! My chiropractor agrees with me that taking good shark cartilage is the only way to go!
That and putting Knox Gelatin in a hot cup of something and drinking that 2+ times per day!
Just the plain ol Knox Gelatin - you don't taste it - you just got to drink it fast - before it jells :)
Merry Christmas!

Happy Annie-Versary, Lisa!
I'm so glad you're doing well! Several of us have joint problems, and many have found that we are Vitamin D/calcium deficient (Vitamin D is actually a hormone, so you might have your doctor check all your hormones while she/he is at it! Many of us are hypothyroid or Human Growth Hormone deficient as well).
Thanks for the update!

Thanks everyone!!
I just hope I don't have to ever spend another Christmas in the hospital like I did two years ago. It was not very fun and hard to enjoy afterwards.
I've had many blood tests and the like to rule out thyroid, hormones and vitamin deficiencies and I've been "normal", whatever the heck that is. ;)
Most of my joint problems are genetics and my conformation, plus lifestyle wear and tear for too many years on my body. I tend to do things a lot of men couldn't handle or do, so I've been told by my PT, Chiro, friends and family. However, I've come to terms, mostly, that I'm no longer Super Woman.
I have DDH (fancy word for hip dysplasia), arthritis and bone spurs in my neck which causes problems w/ my shoulder and arm, herniated discs in my lower back between two levels and problems w/ weakness and pain in my legs. All of the same crap that lead to finding the aneurysm to begin w/ and I'm back to square one and getting worse. I'm going to my chiro sometime next week to see if she can fix me up temporarily and see if there are any changes in my rads. This all started downhill in the spring of '06 and earlier for the hip problem which can't be fixed w/out surgery. I also have crappy knees, chondromalacia cause from kneecaps not tracking properly at all.
37yo, feel 80 and falling apart at the seams, literally.
So there you have it, my body in a nutshell. :)
Lisa
Hi Lisa
It has been ages since I have been a regular poster here. I can still remember when you first came to this site. Congratulations and well done, this is a great milestone to reach. Know that your compassion and kindness have been a great support to lots of others who have started the journey that you have taken.
