Hi All
Just want to introduce myself and say hi. I had a coiling for my aneurysm on Sept 29th of this year and have recovered fairly well. Yesterday I had a visit to my surgeon and was informed I needed to have some more coils put in as well as compacting things a little better. The first time I did not worry about it because I really do not remember a whole lot from those few days. But now I have to go back in and it is all I can think about today. Apparently it happens and people need more than one surgery for this.(January 6 2009) He says it is 1 in 10 that need a second coiling ...........................how come I get the same odds in the lottery and I don't win that......haha

Joe,
I am sorry that you have to have surgery again! Thinking about it is scarey. My dad had a leaking cerebral annie. They clipped it. He has done well with his recovery. His personality is a little different. You wouldn't know it unless you are very close to him.

His brother had an annie before my dad did. Some say it is not heretatary but I know that it is! I don't have any annies but I have a brain disorder that affects my walking, sometimes you would think I was drunk, Haha. My memorie is not the greatest and I have tremors, I could go on but I don't want to carry on about myself!

I just wanted to wish you luck and I will be thinking of you on the 6th!

Dream Big and Reach for the Stars, Javi

I had a ruptured anerysm in 2001 and I have had three coilings done on the same aneurysm. I guess I'm with you about being the odd one. The last two coilings went fine. I just had a sight headache but nothing that a few asprins didn't cure. I had to stay over night in the hospital and was released the next day. I also have two more. One is coiled and the other one they are watching for growth. Please come over to the aneurysm forum. There is a great group of people who can try and answer any questions you might have.
