I SWORE no one in my family would EVER step foot in a particular hospital EVER again!?
Well, guess where DH is right now? And guess what he's doing?
Well it wasn't like he had a lot of options...for those of you who didn't catch it in the other thread...DH was rear-ended yesterday in his work truck and is pretty sore today. Work sent him to the orthopedic clinic, they sent him over for x-rays...
yep I've got all sorts of confidence (NOT) in their radiology department!
There's no way they can come back and accuse us of anything is there?
But still...like I trust whatever results they get...
And btw, guess what today happens to be...oh yeah, didn't realize it until DH called from the radiology department with the update...just one more reason that my emotions are likely tied in knots lately...such fond memories from last Christmas time...

just a quick update...not that I was really worried as you probably guessed from my sarcasim...but just wanted to make sure no one else was worried...
DH called, he's on his way home with a couple prescriptions. Doc says he's got a bad case of whip-lash...no damage or injuries, his muscles just need to heal.
So he's got prescription motrin, if that works he can do a couple hours of work each day with no loss of personal time. If that doesn't help his pain, he'll need to take pircosette (sp) and that he'll need to stay home for. His boss is apparently in the holiday spirit, basically saying if he can make it into the office each day, he can keep his personal time from being used even if he can't stay the whole day... Good news is that he had already taken tues-friday off...so really if he can just make it thurs, fri & mon, then it's no biggy...
but just my luck I gotta deal with another whiner...you know how guys can be...no offense to any of the guys of course, but man you guys can regress to toddlerhood when given a 'pass' to...
Seriously though, I am glad there's no real damage! And just wanted to let you all know...

Oh yes, I remember that God awful nightmare with your baby girl. I totally get your sarcasm about hospitals. Glad your dh wasn't more seriously injured, sorry to hear he was in an accident, right before the holidays too, geez.

So glad he wasn't hurt seriously!! I hope he recovers quickly and yes with 4 boys and an ex I KNOW how men can be with injuries... Let them handle a C-section or double cut hysterectomy or double (Bilateral) foot surgery and tell us they can handle pain. lol
HUGS to you for handling him. lol

Thanks Gina & Mili!!!!
It's funny, I really wasn't posting about him, more so about the coincidence and timing. I've been so emotional lately...and ya know ever since I realized that this time of the year is drugging up scary feelings...I feel much more 'even' or whatever...
I mean we've had crazy times before and juggled a lot, which is stressful and can feel overwhelming at times...but ya sorta push forward, as I'm sure you can all relate...but I think topping that off with the insecurity and fear that 'that incident' left inside of me...UGH!
I just feel like myself again, but facing Christmas is a little tough still...we've got the kids done, but somehow I just don't even want to wrap or even turn the lights on at dark...I've kinda lost my holiday spirit...
It's supposed to snow a TON today...I'm such a big kid when it comes to snow...I'm PUMPED Coley will be home early today to avoid a similar traffic nightmare that occured with a similar type & timed storm last year...
It was CRAZY...if you all aren't from around here or didn't hear about it...last year there was a big snow storm, just snow and a lot of it, that came just after lunch and brought with it white-out conditions and fast mounting snow fall...Well by 2:30-3:00 all the kids were getting out of school, and all the businesses were closing down early...
All the plows got stuck in the traffic, and the more the snow piled up, the slower it moved...then people started running out of gas...CRAZY! A lot of kids didn't get home until after dinner...the city of Boston kids didn't get home until bedtime...could you imagine the panic and issues on these buses too...hungry kids, kids that needed to pee, imagine one of our kids stuck in that? The poor bus drivers too!
THANK GOD Coley was in half days at that time and was home LONG before the traffic issues started.
But remember little Lucas, Coley's bus buddy...remember he was the one with the stuffed cow he called Moo that traveled everywhere with him...his mom tried to get rid of it once & he was DISTRAUGHT...OMG! my heart still breaks thinking about that day...anyway he was in full days so didn't ride home with Coley...the poor kid didn't get home until like 7:00!
Ok, so back to the point...SO many schools cancelled today, most others have early release...Coley will be home by lunch & so will DH...and I'm already pumped up to go play! :D
Hopefully that will reignite my holiday spirit!

Did you get your snow? Here where we live in the Valley its a miracle if we see snow. The boys would love it.
The way the boys are treating me and acting right now, I dont feel like doing anything for any of them. :( I really feel like taking it all back.
If you got your snow, maybe build a snowman and take a pic of it for me. :)

We're in a blizzard (Madison, WI) it's gorgeous but horrible for my truck driving husband. Carmen's built an igloo in the pile of snow that is 2 feet higher than our mailbox from shoveling, Vince is having a blast sledding. When the kids are occupied, I feel like 'Ahhhhh' relief.

OMG! It was CRAZY here!
It started at about 2pm on Friday and didn't stop until last night. We just kept shoveling & shoveling & shoveling...and it was coming in sideways so it was hard to play in it...
At one point the whole place looked buried in snow...it was stuck to the sides of everyone's house, and all the trees, the plow couldn't keep up with the street, and no one could keep up with their sidewalks...everything was covered, everything! It was STUNNING!
And apparently Audrey HATES the snow...didn't want any part of her snow gear & then wouldn't let us put her down once we finally got everything on her before she could pull it off again
So we had to tag team the clean-up...one of us stayed in with Audrey while the other shoveled...UGH! As soon as we'd get it shoveled it needed shoveling again...it was NUTS!
So we never made it to go sledding :( and then yesterday Coley wanted to make a snowman...I was SO pumped for it! But then the sleet started...we were soaked and had to come in...and now everything is FROZEN SOLID! I'm SO bummed!
But this is the stuff that makes for good sledding, and head injuries too, LOL! But it's bitterly cold today...DH is off tomorrow, so maybe we'll be able to get a little sledding in before it melts!
Christmas eve & Christmas day are supposed to be 40+ so everything is going to turn into a sloppy mess, UGH! It's like a race against time!
We are right next to a golf course, and it's supposed to be AWESOME sledding...we've never been there...and now Audrey's gonna be a BIG POOP about snow  I told her if she's gonna have this attitude about snow, I'm shipping her off to FL with Grandma & Papa!!!! :p
Gina...deep breaths! Give them a little undivided attention, do something fun with them, just relax and play, no expectations, seriously it has a way of adjusting attitudes, all around...
