Wally in hospital

Dear Friends--Just a note to let you know that Wally is in the hospital. He has an intestinal stoppage. They treated him and are in a wait and see mode.
I guess they are hoping that things will heal themselves. He is comfortable and has lots of smiles for his nurses--they are old friends from 2 previous hospitalizations.

Being in the hospital sure never feels comfortable like being at home, I'm glad to hear he is with old friends, that's got to make it better. And if he's sharing smiles with the nurses, he's got to be their favorite patient, aye! I hope he'll be home very very soon...till then tell him to use that charm of his with the nurses (though I doubt anyone has to tell him that - Vince has that charm going on too).

Dear Friends--Thank you so much for your good wishes and prayers--I know they help.
They put Wally back on food Sunday at noon and he began to bloat again. Thankfully though he passed gas and stool early Monday morning. I guess that means that the stoppage resolved itself. With all the bloating, it is like he has a little gas factory in there. Gay

Thanks so much for the update! I'm glad Wally's beginning to feel better!

I gotta tell you, your update made me laugh...I'm sure Wally wouldn't find this too humorous though...but after reading the specifics of your update I realized that we were all praying for a fart! Kinda. That's pretty funny!

Not making light of the situation of course.

Hello, Everyone, Wally came home at 5:15 pm today. We think maybe the paragoric that he took to slow down his short GI track (after his resection last April) may have slowed it down too much. Thanks so much for all of your prayers and good wishes--it worked. Ask any nurse--Farts do Rule.
