Ok, I've gotten some pretty weirdass presents in my day, most of them from my husband, but he really outdid himself this year! He gave me my birthday present early tonight:

10 identical pairs of men's pajamas.

Huh?

Yup. That's what I said.

Needless to say, I'm sending them back!

I'd kinda like that! See, men's jammies are really comfortable and if they are all the same you don't have to worry about mismatching tops and bottoms. Maybe 10 is a bit much...

Ya reckon?

My house is tiny, we're very cramped, and storage space is at a premium. The LAST think I want wasting drawer space is a life supply of uglyass jammies.

Want some? They're mens size medium. Blue. Button top. Kinda coarse cotton, like scrubs.

and a rotary lawnmower for mother's day!

Wayyyy back, say 100 years ago, he gave me a *ahem* "self-pleasuring device" for my birthday. Boy did he quickly realize how dumb that was, when it replaced him for an extended period of time!!

OMG! I'm at a total LOSS...I can barely see the keyboard...

The dumest thing I ever got was a steamer...like one of those drapery things...it made NO sense & DID go back!

Other than that he used to go to see my BFs sister at work for help, she worked at a jewlery store...NICE! But he could never stop, not sure what his problem was...I'd end up with 10 boxes, and I'm not really a big jewlery person...He eventually had to get me a jewlery box to keep it all...where is all sits in wait now

Although with the price of gold these days...hmmmmmm:cool:.

Guys are SO funny when it comes to gifts!

My dad got my mom some doozies too.

I woke up this morning and I kid you not your birthday gift was the first thing I thought of. I started giggling, dh asked what was so funny, and I said, "10 identical pairs of mens pajamas" and was laughing so hard trying to say it I had to repeat myself a half dozen times.

So I ask dh if he can 'translate' what the heck your dh could have been thinking. He said not really, but he probably gave you your present early cause he knows he always screws up so wanted to give you time to return it and get the right thing....baawwaawaaawaaaaa....if you could have seen his head hanging when he said it. OMG I had no idea gift giving was such a dreaded event for some husbands.

So what are you going to get yourself?

Oh to have been a mouse in the corner at your house this morning! It happens to me all the time, I'm laughing too hard to tell a story, and when I finally get it out, something's lost in the translation.

Hmm...I'll probably get myself a new coat. Or a new used coat. I'm super-tight mode these days... the newlyweds can't find jobs and they're bleeding me to death.
