Hi everyone. I was wondering if you can have the early stages of MS, but not show any lesions on your brain? I am a 30 yr old female. About one month ago I started having; what my Dr and I thought was carpal tunnel in my wrist. Within a one month period of time I have lost almost complete grip in my rt hand. I have almost constant numbness, tingleing and just an overall feeling like my hand is swollen; but it's not. It is also happening in my forearm and my left hand and forearm. My neck is starting to hurt and feel stiff, and my toes are starting to tingle. I have weakness in my arms and shoulders. I am one who works out every other day, so it isn't like me to be weak. I can hardly peel an onion or write with a pen. I can't get in with the neurologist for 2 wks, so my Dr suggested I go to the ER to get an immediate MRI. They didn't use any dye. My MRI came up completely clean. No pinched nerve, no disk problems and no lesions. The Dr mentioned the word MS. So my question is, can you have the early stages of MS, but not have lesions? Or could I have lesions that can only be seen with dye? Thank you all in advance. I am just so nervous. It is scareing me how fast this has gone from zero symptoms to a ton of symptoms in just one month.
