Just a quick thread to see how everyone is doing. I am doing good, still writing and editing, so we'll see how much longer I feel it needs polishing before I call it done. :)

Jackie is home today with a cold, and coughing. He's going to go out and play later I bet. He's met two little boys from the neighborhood and they befriended him right off the bat at the park. I am just grateful they enjoy playing chase with him on the park. It's fun watching them dart around playing to their own made up rules. :)

So things might be better here now. I just had to post and share it with you since I know things haven't been up to snuff so to speak for awhile. It's nice to see Jackie enjoying himself with his new friends. :)

Pam, what a awesome awesome update! :D

OMG! you sound SO relaxed and SO at peace...that alone...OMG, it's SO nice to 'hear' it!!!!

AND Jackie's new friends...OMG! Icing on the cake...

I'm sure the 2 things are related...

I'm all teeth over here, congratulations!

Tell us more about them...do you know their parents, do they go to Jackie's school? What (if any) is the age difference? What games do they make up? Are they Jackie's games and the other 2 play along? That's what Coley does...his 'friends' are kids that play by his rules ... anyway...I want the WHOLE scoop!

Thanks so much for posting!

I'm just popping in here to see how you are doing. I'm glad to hear you're holding you own, it sounds. If time permits again, drop by the Emotional Forum and give us an update. But in any case, I'll keep one eye open & catch you somewhere here. Take care.

I know I just feel so much better then I was feeling when I posted that other thread what two weeks ago? I can't even remember for sure when it was. But what matters is that things are so much better NOW! I hope that we can get through Christmas vacation okay, I just know it's gonna be challenging but maybe we can accomplish some good things behavior-wise.

I am hard at work on my memoir, thinking this time around it will sell, so hoepfully that will happen for me in 2009. I would so love to be able to say I have a published book even if it is non-fiction, I think it can definitely lead to my stories getting into print. :)

The boys are really nice and sadly they haven't been able to play together since Friday but we're hoping they can today. :D It's amazing how much happier Jackie is now that he's got an aid and a new behaviorist coming out to see him-she said she remembers when the prior behaviorist presented Jackie's case and she said he's nothing like what they said he was and she was expecting the worst. :) So nice to be able to work with good people. :D

*Sigh* I wish I could say I feel good but I had a cracked tooth break worse this weekend and it's really bothering me. I have made a appt. to yank it but it's still a month away. :( Why do I have to suffer so much? Had such a bad migraine Saturday when it happened. :(

glad to know you had an excellent spell of good news, good feelings until cracking that tooth.....pam, couldn't you go to emergency? it's not possible to be in pain for a month !?

I know...try another dentist or something...that's just ridiculous!

A while back an OLD filling of mine popped out...OMG! talk about pain!

It's so close to the root that they think I may need a root canal soon...UGH!

Anyway, I had to go get it refilled and I needed to wait a week or something...it's actually a blur...might have been 5 days or something...it was insane! Cold things hurt, hot things hurt, anything gooshy like potatoes or pasta that got stuck in there stung, anything hard like crackers KILLED, anything that required work...like meat...OH forget it...it was less painful being hungry! Course that wasn't good lifting the Chunka with LBS...OY!

You can't wait a month...NO WAY! And with things going well with Jackie...the last thing you need is to be irritable yourself...this is definately an emerency!

Did you atleast put yourself on the cancellation list?

Yes, I am on the cancellation list, but thank God Jack said to take some ibuprofen along with my regular pain meds, I had been doing that after he'd knocked me over in my chair and it helped with that pain, and it's helping with this pain. :)

We go to his school play tomorrow tomorrow and I am really hoping it comes out well, this is the first time he'll be in the school play with middle schoolers instead of the elementary school kids. It should be fun and as long as I take my pain medicine I should be fine to deal with it all. :D

I can't imagine having a cracked tooth for long. I have a place on lower teeth, where I'm sure the dentist ground down and put a sealer over. Well I bit into some red hot candy and must have messed up the cover or something as it feels like torn bits of fabric on lower tooth now. It's bugging me a lot, LOL. So can't imagine dealing with much more than that!

Hope they fit you into an apporintment soon. Enjoy the play and be sure and tell us about it or better yet, show pics!

I am on their cancellation list but you know how that goes. I am set to have it yanked on the 19th of January so I think I can make it to that appt. What is really bothering me though is my stump. the bone that's left there is poking at my flesh and hurting like a nail at times. I just don't know what they can do, so I am gonna talk to the doctors and see if they can go in and shave off the sharp part and make me more comfortable. :)

Oh Jackie was AWESOME in the play. He danced and sang and dribbled the basketball in snych with his classmates and it was just GREAT! I have it on video but no pics. Oh well. I never bring the two cameras just the one video one. If I get a smaller video recorder at some point then I just might bring both cameras. But for now it's just too much trouble. :p

I got a new keyboard and love it! It's got half the height of normal keys so it's more like a laptop feeling keyboard and I like that. Not that I have ever used one, but I want one. :) Thanks for posting joy! :D

I'd hate to say just how bad I want a laptop myself, LOL. It's a lot and since we have a good computer, I'll just keep that to myself. Kids want one too and they don't have anything. But I'm not buying one for them either, nope, not going too, LOL.
