died from breast cancer that she refused to treat and she just let it go until it finally just spread up to her brain. I hope everyone is monitoring themselves regularly.

Thank you Dude. Yes I desperately spoke to all the doctors, asked all the questions tried to get her to have the surgery but she had a stroke and that is how we found out and I guess she had given up and by the time I really was pushing the doctors were hesitant because of her age and health. I think they just had given up on her too. My grandpa had passed and she was alone so I think that had a lot to do with it.

I don't have anger with her. I guess I have more anger with me that I wasn't a better granddaughter.

I'm sorry :( I know how hard it is to cope with the loss of someone that refuses medical treatment. My Mom had congestive heart failure and colo-rectal cancer. She put off going to the doctor and put it off until I went there and forced her to go. It didn't go well.

I think that's one of the hardest lessons we as daughters and granddaughters will ever have to learn -- we have to let our parents live their lives.

Don't be so hard on yourself, Christina, you did the absolute best that you possibly could given your circumstances. We all do. It turns out that you were there for her when she really needed you.

I'll say a prayer for your Grandma tonight. BIG HUGS.
