Thanks Julie,

I had been wondering about the 3D CT scans!

I sent this on to others in my life - they can now see what the operating room
is like and what this is all about.

Cheers!

Good Luck with that Kimik!

Make sure you ask the nurses for lotssssssssss of hot blankets and even hot socks.

I wore my own socks - they were surprised but I hate being cold!!!

They still gave me there hot toasty socks too - and I asked for warm blankets about 3 times so I was warm before they took me into the room.

Another tip - my back got so sore as you were in bed for an hour for prep time - then an hour or so on the table (not that I cared with the happy juice they gave me) then 5 hours on my back in recovery.

Anyhow - for me it was the small of my back that ached - so now I know for the next one I go on ( 4 more next year) to get them to put and take away a pillow in the small of my back in recovery - and repeat a few times.

We shall send you good thoughts Wednesday and you will see how easy this test is.

Kimik0206,

Good luck on your 3D CT. Be sure to ask for a copy of it on CD for your records. Most hospitals only keep records for 2-3 years and you may want to compare this week's 3D CT with one you have 5 years from now! Let us know how it comes out and how long it takes. Also, can you ask your radiologist how much radiation you receive from a 3D CT? I know these machines have come a long way, and they emit less radiation than they used to.
Again, good luck! Hopefully no aneurysms will be found! :)
