hi iam new here. i have chiari and syringomyelia and spondolis i had my decompression surgery in 2000. i am 45 and have 3 children 12,21,and 25 my 21 year old is in the navy and i haven't seen him since april of this year , i have a 7inch incission the back of my head and neck ,my surgery is c5-c6 but when i found out by mri i had syringomyelia it went from c2 through t1 what happen did my chiari grow ?or something eles happen? i am up tonight i can't sleep at night to good. plus my husband just got off the computer ,looking for friends with chiari whose going through the same thing .sometimes i have to take medication ,to make me sleep and i be sleep all day and up at night . iam on a75 mgs duragisics patch and take norco for break through pain along with other medication .can any one answer my question:confused:

i wish i could answer your questions, but i cant. however, i just wanted to say hello and im sorry you cant sleep at night and are having to deal with so much pain. i know how that goes!!! im so tired, yet cant sleep due to various things, so i understand! i have hydrocephalus from spina bifida and arnold chiari malformation II. if i find any answers for you, ill surely let ya know. hang in there!
