Drew is transitioning out of Home-Based Therapy in the coming months and into PASS: http://www.rewardingwork.org/RhodeIsland/HelpfulResources/RhodeIslandPASS.asp. The big responsibility I have, unlike with HBTS, is finding and hiring the therapy staff. (They're paid through the state agency they sign on with; this one will probably be Looking Upwards in Middletown.) HBTS hired them all for his program, and now it's up to me to screen and train them.
Well, it turns out that BOTH his HBTS therapists want to stay on with him (and us ;) ), so they'll be comin' to PASS with us!!!!!!!!!!!!! They both said how much they love working with him and want to continue. :) WOW...that means so much to me!!!! :) It cuts out a lot of dirty work, too! :)
I am so jazzed about this!!!!!!!! I meet with Kelly from LU tomorrow and will learn more about how to complete the process. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
