HEY ALL. I AM NOW HOMESCHOOLING GLO TILL WE GET MOVED TO TEXAS . WHEN EVER THAT MIGHT BE....
I JUST TESTED HER WITH AN ONLINE PROGRAM AND FOUND OUT SHE IS ONLY DOING 1ST-2ND GRADE MATH.. 5TH GRADE ENGLISH, SCIENCE, AND SOCIAL STUDIES.. AND 9TH GRADE WOULD BUILDING.
THE SCHOOL HAS TRIED TO TELL ME OVER THE YEARS SHE WAS DOING GRADE LEVEL WORK AND COULD DO THE WORK IN THE CURRENT GRADE LEVEL.. SHE 7TH GRADE THIS YEAR. HERE IS WHY I PULLED HRE FROM SCHOOL. THIS IS JUST THE LATEST IN THE WAY SHE HAS BEEN TREATED..
(glo asked if she could bring her superman cape and scooby doo hat and her two bugs bunnys to school that she won at Six Flags.... she was told NO.. so she was upset but was trying to hold it together so she was stomping down the stairs. (trying to keep from melting down) and she was made to go up and down the stairs till she did it with out stomping. becasue she wouldnt. THEY GAVE HER DETENION FOR STOMPING DOWN THE STAIRS.
so she then ran out of the building. and the teacher was yelling at her you better not open that door she did so then the teacher had the recorse officer (cop on duty at school ) to get her. they came back in the teacher hatefuly said thats mom over at the desk.. so he had me come over and talk with glo. so i did. she went back down stairs. and next thing i know she is runny back towards me with the teacher and the head teacher over speical ed chasing her. (the day before in the after noon assembly glo was climbing down the side of the bleachers and her teacher hit (taped) her on the back told her to stop.. TO GLO IT WAS A HIT, EVEN IF IT WAS A TAP TO SAY GET DOWN) The vice principal looked at me and told me i had to take her home she was not allowed in school acting that way...anyway glo was yelling you hit me yesterday.. then she had two teachers and the vice pricnicpal yelling at her that she was liying and that the teacher would not hit her and that they would not tolerate liying about the teachers etc. and had all 3 yelling at her and the vice principal told me to leave and take her home.
I then went to a autism conference and took her with me. and at the end of the conference at their advice and me thinking about it. decided to pull her out and home school her till i get moved..
