Dh has had his third Tysabri infusion..all has been going well..

he was on novantrone before and with the novantrone we were warned he should not be around or try to avoid live vaccines and sick people..

so i was very careful when the kids were sick to keep him at bay and not to get them any live vaccines..

but they never told us these things with tysabri..we have had the stomach bug going around our house this week and were both going!?!?! do the same rules apply with tysabri?

i was throwing around gettin the flu mist for the kids but wasnt sure if dh should be around that?

I also took Novatrone before Tysabri.

Because Tysabri is a monoclonal antibody and not a chemo, it does not reduce your WBC which is what makes you suseptible to infection with Novantrone and other chemos.

You do not need to be any more cautious about infection/exposure than you would any other time.
