Hi! most of you know me but for those that don't I am 26 and suffered a burst annie on 2*01*05. I had a second one rupture a month later in the backside of the first. The second one was coiled but continued to grow and required a bypass to be clipped (long story). Anyway, my question is this... After my rupture it exhausts me to have to talk to people. The doctors believe I now have a traumatic brain injury and chalk it off to that but does anyone else have this problem?

:p I had a rupture June 05, I was told that the brain takes almost 2 years to absorb the blood from the rupture. You are still very soon after, it takes a long time to heal. You do have Trauamtic head trauma! We all do! There is a booked called " The mild raumatic brain injury workbook", very helpful & informational!! I still can't stand light, noise... Have patience hun!! ;) Tricia / FireflyR7

Hi, there
I agree with Firefly the fatigue after talking to peole is perfectly normal. I havent had a rupture but I have had three unruptured annies coiled, even without the trauma of a rupture the fatigue post operatively was well and truly there and after conversation it was terrible. The first few weeks after surgery the average conversation would tire me out. It got gradually better but it took a year to go and that is without a bleed, so dont worry, just pace yourself and you will get there
take care

Hello,
I'm almost to my five year annieversy and I still get tired when I have a conversation (extended) with people. I also get worn out from socializing too much. I just have learned how to pace myself so I don't get too tired. Take care. From the rupture, I did receive an brain injury. Dawn

Yes, I too suffer from fatique. Mostly when i help my kids with homework - yesterday I read to my seven year old and I had to take a nap! yet there are days when i could walk 2 miles with no problem. It sort of creeps up on me. I try to pace myself, but some days are better than others so it's difficult to pinpoint what is too much stimulation.
I'm 10 months post rupture and I had a coil, and a shunt because my brain wasn't draining after the rupture.

I had a rupture in April and started back to work in September just a little store job nothing stressful. I get to talk to a lot of people during the day and find I am exhausted at the end of the day after a 5 or 6 hour shift. I even sometimes have a headache and am in bed by 9pm. I still love the fact that I'm back to work and enjoy it. Hopefully the tiredness gets better as its only been 6 months. I guess we just rest when we can.
Hang in there
Love Nic

Hi,
Its been a year and a half for me and there are times when I prefer my own company to a group or even a few friends. Sometimes too much conversation can be really exausting!! I know where your comming from, its not to say I don't enjoy my friendships, cause I do, just in small doses now. This is different than I was pre-rupture,
