Interesting article - got a chuckle out of this:

A spokeswoman for the Patients Association said: "Doctors have a very wide knowledge when it comes to diagnosing conditions."

With more studies being published, more discoveries being made daily, etc. there is no way even a super-human doctor could keep up with it all. Sad that many of those "Medical Mysteries" programs show patients (or parents of patients) finding out the truth by researching on the Web (and then trying to talk the doctor into running the right tests for a "proper" diagnosis). :rolleyes: That is certainly OUR story - if it weren't for Braintalk and access to the Web, my son would be a skeleton on a feeding tube...or worse. :(

I wonder if the did just a plain Google search or did a Google scholar search. Maybe they should have added a PubMed search too.
