Hi guyz,

Incase your wondering why my name has changed I lost my beloved Ruby at the end of august...

She got what is called gastric dilitation and torsion I rushed her to the animal hospital where they were prepping her for surgery her heart stopped once and then they got it started again it stopped again and she was gone...

She had a long fight this past year because last november she injured her back and was paralized I got her walking again not perfect but walking(mobile) she also had lymes disease that was reaccurent and an enzyme deficiency... she was a fighter (she had a strong will to live)

I learned a lot from her especially how not to give up... I know she would not want me to be sad and that she would want me to give another doggy the love I gave her and that she'd want me to be taken care of...

The new little doggy you see theres name is Nikita she's 2 yrs old and I have to bring her back to the breeder in the spring to have pups then she is mine for keeps...

This summer I took my 17 year old poodle to the vet and we decided it was time for life to end. Such a sweet, sad day. Emma lifted her head and licked my tears seconds before ahe died.
She too had a long fight for many months but, I wish she was still here.

SSusan always signs her posts with the following: Be the person your dog thinks you are. I like that.

I'm so sorry you lost your little pup Ruby :(, she was lucky to have you and vice versa.

I lost my elderly cat Sweet Pea in early August, and I miss her a lot.

I'm glad you have a new puppy, Nikita, and I hope you have many years of companionship with her, she's very pretty!

Hugs,

Ewizabeth

I'm so sorry. Dogs are people, too, at least when it comes to being members of our families.

I have a great t-shirt that says "Greet everyone as if they were your dog"

NO ONE can look at it without breaking into a huge grin, if not an outright laugh. It would make the world a better place if we all did it, wouldn't it??

:)

Hello,

I'm so sorry about Ruby, Emma and Sweetpea (da kitty). My dogs are my best friends and I can understand what a loss it is.

It's amazing how much love they give, uninhibited love.

Ruby, Nakita is beautiful.

Ruby,

I'm sorry that you lost your dog. I'm sure many special conversations and secrets went with her. I'm glad you have a new puppy to share some of that with.

Best regards,
ANN

Thanx guyz,

and yes stillstanding that is exactly how I feel my puppy knew a lot of my secrets...

I swear when you have them long enough and they want somthing you understand what they want too...

If I had my wish it would be to have her for just one more day... (even if it was the worst day I had w/ her , the day she was sick) I'd do anything to have it back just to hold her... and tell her I love her...

thanx for all your sweet words

Sorry to hear of the loss of your sweet friend.
I know how you feel.
I lost my little puppy girl over 10 years ago and I still miss her terribly.
I have had several dogs since, but none have been as close. It was almost as if we could read each other's minds.
That's a weird thing to say about a dog, but there it is.

I hope one day to have another dog that is as special but until then I will cherish her memory.

Remember how lucky you both were to have each other's friendship.

Your new pup looks like a sweetie!
