Good Morning Quitters!!! :D

Kathy - I want to congratulate you on passing the 2 month mark!! This is WONDERFUL!! How are you feeling? I'm still cheering for you! :)

gunakeshparmar - I hope you are moving closer to a quit date. Please let us know how you are doing. We're here to support you. ;)

jingle - just want to say "hi". You have been one of the success stories from this forum. Hope all is well with you. :)

Hey Christina, Pati, Joy, and anyone else I'm not remembering to mention right now - please stop by and let us know what's happening with you.

I had my regular quarterly check-up at the doctor's office on Thursday. All things considered, I'm doing quite well. Blood pressure was 106/63 which is fabulous. If it stays around that number, I wonder if he'll have me cut back on some of the hypertension medication like he did before. I did gain about 3 pounds (in three months). I'm not going to get too upset over that. With all the "bad" things I've been eating, I think it's a blessing it was ONLY 3 pounds. lol My breathing was good too.

I also had my flu shot (left arm) and a pneumonia shot (right arm). My first pneumonia shot was in Dec 2003 and due to being in the hospital 6 months or so ago, we all agreed it was a good idea to get a second one now. The worst part is that the pneumonia shot caused a lot of discomfort in my arm. I couldn't raise my arm without it being quite painful Thursday night and most of Friday. It's still sore but not as bad - I can use it a little more easily today. The funny thing is that my arm is reddish pink and feels warm all around the injection site. Weird!!

I've got some last minute costume tweaking to do before going to the costume party tonight as a somewhat 'altered' version of the Bride of Frankenstein. Should be interesting.....

Teddiebears,

Glad to hear you are doing so well! You and Jingles have been my saviours thru my non smoking journey. I can't tell you how much you two have and do mean to me! I can't Thank You enough!

I am feeling very good about my accomplishment, and know I have a long road ahead, I know myself too well. Now if I could get my house ready for the holidays I would be a very happy happy woman!

To anyone else who has the want or desire to quite smoking, it is hard work, but so incredible to be free of the cancer sticks! This has been the most support I have ever found, No yelling, or putting you down if you have a relapse. I had a relapse and we just setbac my days of not smokng and got on wth it! No fuss no muss!

I have never met so many people with such giving hearts and great advice. I sure hope more will take advantage of these smart men and women! They can help you save your lives!

Best to all,
Kathy
