Once upon a time...
I met people in chat that became friends of mine. We chatted daily and kept up in each other's lives. We came from all walks of life, some patients, some caretakers, some both. We felt a common thread of dealing with neuro issues that offen crossed paths with many different diagnoses.
These people, my friends, checked in regularly and genuinely cared about one another. We reminded each other that is was time to take meds. We travelled together...checking in from foreign lands. We visited doctors together and shared milestones, life and death.
These people, my friends, have gotten smaller over the past few years. We've lost a few to the heavens and more to the great-internet-beyond. I miss chatting with these friends.
John Lester...please. Can you take a moment to realize that you are leaving a precious few on the sidelines. A forum is a place, sure, but many found solice in real-time conversations. Can you please see that we are hurting after a year-plus of no real chat room. It was real support for real people. We miss visiting, supporting, communicating with our 'family'. Please take some time to update the chat room so it is functioning properly.
I miss my chat friends.

Because of the problems with the chat rooms hosted here, I went ahead and hosted a set of chat rooms just for BrainTalk members.
You must register to use the chats hosted on my site, because it's not tied in with BrainTalk.
It's a hit and miss as to finding someone online though. Not sure if it's due to the length of time the chats here haven't been working properly, or if people just stopped using chat rooms.
The url is http://www.thunder65.com/braintalkchats/
If you have any problems or questions let me know :) PM email or reply ;)
You are forever doing good, every where you go.:D Thanks for looking after us little younguns that don't know a hoot about a computer.
Now the question, can I use my user name and same pass word as the one I use on Brain Talk? I can not get there from here:p
I have to go for the moment, but I'll be back. Help will show up soon. I just know that. thanks a bunch Mike, Jo
BTW, I have tried it both ways. Used a new one, no go, used the BT but it wouldn't take me either. Now, aren't we having fun? (((( hugs to all )))) Jo, the slow one

When Mike started his site, we had to register. He's made some changes, and we have had to reregister at times. Click on register, and you can use the same info. that you use on BrainTalk. Once registered, you'll be able to sign on and use Mike's chatroom. Since it's not tied in with BrainTalk, you'll have to sign on his site, in order to use it.

Hi Lorarama and everyone. CM #1 is missing everyone also. Just can't wait until our FlashChat is up and running again.
I agree Lorarama with everything you said, and you too Jo6 and Michelle. And Mike has been nice enough to open up a temporary room for us, thanks Mike.
I do wish people would try Mike's room, I go there and check in and see if anyone is there and no they are not there.
Chat Mod #1 gets very lonely without a chat room. I often think of all the nice people and how much I miss them and wonder how everyone is doing.
Hope John gets things fixed before too long, but in the meantime, please try Mike's room. I hope to see lots of you there.
A very lonely CM #1
Sorry for the goof on your name Lorarama.

I miss everyone too. It's really sad that things aren't in working order in our cyber home. I think many people have moved on and won't be back anyway, so it's really even more sad then just the loss of the chatroom. I miss everyone from before the big crash, that was when I really fell in love with the Flashchat. *sigh*
I can't believe it's almost 2009 and we're still chatless with the exception of Mike's generosity to set up a temporary home for us, anytime I go by though no one is there. I really am sorry for those of us chatters who are suffering this loss stoically. I mean what else can we do? At least I have memories of friends I will probably never get to see again because this site's chat is low man on the totem pole and many people moved on to other places to chat. I wish John would find the time to fix things up for us. :(

well.
i certainly miss the old, old chats and all my friends who used to come and chat there.
but, i have a confession to make.
i gave a chat moderator some he** one day. i was being bad. someone was egging me on and i didn't have the guts to tell them to stop it and i went along with it.
it's been within the last 8 years, cause i do remember bush being president then. if the chat moderator remembers this, or whether they are now gone....
i am sorry.

Well, I have a confession to make also. ;)
I have been around almost 11 years and I was NOT that chat moderator :D
But don't worry about it, if the chat mod is still here, I bet they have forgotten about it.
So don't worry
Be happy :D
And let's hope that John Lester will be found someday and fix all the things that are wrong and we can all chat again and "Be Happy" ;)
*hug s to all
