because the other program is running.
I get this message several times a day, every day. The "other program" is
always a pop-up ad. Yet, according to my pop-up blocker, 532 pop-ups
have been blocked! Why aren't all of them being blocked so I don't have
to put up with this??
Thanks for letting me rant.

Hello
Rant away until your problem is solved.
What pop-up stopper/blocker do you have, could tweak the peferences to block high and then can you do this:Press down Ctrl to temporary disable your popup blocker when clicking a link for that moment
I use this one, works good.
Pop-Up Stopper Free Edition 3.1.14 (http://www.download.com/Pop-Up-Stopper-Free-Edition/3000-7786-10048866.html?part=dl-PopUpStop&subj=dl&tag=button)

I'm not sure what kind of pop-up blocker I have. It looks like a yellow
mousepad with a blue stripe across the top and a yellow mouse on top
of the pad, to the right.
I just clicked on the icon and saw this:
Enable Pop-Up Blocker
Play Sound When Pop-Up Is Blocked
View Recently Blocked Pop-Ups
Always Allow Pop-Ups From...
Total Pop-Ups Blocked: 532
Why am I still getting pop-ups?
Pop-Up Blocker Test
More Help
I haven't clicked on any of it, because I don't know what it will do.

Hi Gina
1. Is there a check mark next to this: Enable Pop-Up Blocker, if not, then click Enable Pop-Up Blocker, a check mark should be present after clicking it.
2. Try this: Click on start, then click on All Programs, place your mouse cursor on each program it will hilight what the program is until you find the pop-up blocker program and post the name.
3. What Toolbars and/ or Browsers are you using.
EDIT: Are you using MSN Explorer?
Cheers :)

Hi, sho-dan:)
1. Yes, there's a checkmark next to Enable Pop-Up Blocker.
2. I followed your directions but the Pop-Up Blocker didn't show up on the
list. Could it be coming from Verizon (our ISP)?
3. Yes, I'm using the MSN Internet Explorer browser.

Hi Gina
If it is a ISP popup blocker there may not be an option to tweak it.
Is there a icon in the tray bar down by the clock and right clic it, then clic "About" it tell you the name of the popper, then we can go from there
Or you could download this program called Panicware Pop-Up Stopper
http://www.panicware.com/product_psfree2.html
Have some one check out this program for you, if needed. This can be tweak.
Cheers :)
