Hi all,

I posted in the wrong forum ADHD, I'll try it here.
I have been dx with MS for 3 1/2 years now, and on Betaseron.

It started last night after I called it a night and sat with my feet up, I noticed my feet and legs feel like they are quivering. It is 7:30p.m. the next day and they are still doing it. I had to go to the store and my legs are sooo weak. They feel like if I stand for just one more min they are going to buckell right out from under me.
My balance is a problem also, at times if something moves infront of my eyes I will get soooo dizzy. And they wiggle. Hard to read. If any of this sound familiar, please give some info on how to deal with this and, is it a common symptom?

Take care all,
Tinydancer

Hope it makes it to the MS forum

I'm not sure I'd call them intention tremors. More that -- sounds like you're in the beginnings of an exacerbation, or flare. The leg weakness and buckling knees were one of the first things that sent me to a neuro. And balance issues, and nystagmus (the wiggling eyes). All common symptoms...all part of an exacerbation. If I were dealing with all of these, I'd be calling my neuro.

I agree with Cat...sounds like you're headed into an exacerbation. That's how my legs feel when I'm in one.

I have intention tremor, but just in one arm. It only shows up when I "intend" to do something with that hand, i.e. reach for something. The closer I get to the object, the more the tremor shows. The quivering you're experiencing sounds like weakness.

Just MHO.

Hi there....

I think there is a difference between intention tremor and just tremor.

I have had both with my MS. I have intention tremor in my hands/arms. When I reach out to put down my cup of coffee I could just about spill the coffee because my hand would shake so bad. Also, it was almost impossible to put my contacts in.

My legs would tremor whenever I was standing. Sometimes it feels like electric buzzing up and down my legs.

I remember the first time it started I couldn't believe it. It was a sunday night. That was the first and only time I have ever called my Neuro after hours. I was so scared.

I don't know that there is anything to help the tremors but my doctor told me to take baclofen.

Good luck to you.

I have an intention tremor-thus the Ssusan. It affects me when typing, dialing the phone, putting my password into the alarm system at work... Seems to be worse when I am tired, but frankly, someimes for no apparent reason, it is bad. Annoying, but...

I was going to say that it sounds like a flare, too.
