Spam in Private Messages????

I have a message I recieved in my "private messages" that is sexually innappropriate. How did it get there and how do I protect my profile from receiving them in the future?? Thank you for your help.:mad::confused::eek:

Just delete it, and any future ones you may receive.

You can avoid spam pms by only allowing people on your buddy list (and admins/mods) to send you pms.

Step 1 Click the UserCP link in the upper left corner of any page here at BrainTalk

Step 2 On the left side find and click the "Edit Options" link

Step 3 Scroll down a little bit and locate the box labled "Receive Private Messages only from Buddies and Moderators" and click the box to the left.

Step 4 On the left side of the screen locate and click the "Buddy / Ignore Lists"

Step 5 Enter your buddy's names one at a time in the top box/buddy box and click on the save list button.

Repeat step 5 for all of your buddies. You DO NOT need to put the moderators or admins in your buddy list."
