Hi I am just trying to make some friends, and I am not having a lot of luck. I tried to post on brain talk and no one seems to want to just chat, I don't really have a lot of problems, I have congenital hydrocephalus and a mild mental disability and I am just trying to find some people that will talk to me about stuff more than hydro and maybe become friends through this chat service.

Hello Jennifer,

I want to welcome you to the family. At least, I feel we are all family. :D It's a great bunch of people here that always try to help, even if it's just lending an ear.

I am a 52 year old female with several health problems. Like, spinal problems, heart disease, COPD and several other things, like really bad short term memory from having ARDS four years ago and it deprieved my brain from oxygen. Anyways, just a little about me, to let you know we are all here to support each other in any way we can.

Take care and hope to be seeing you around.
Linda

Hi Jennifer, very nice to meet you. I'm a mom of a girl your age, and she also has a neuro condition, NF, which is short for neurofibromatosis. She has some mild developmental delays, and also finds making friends difficult. So far she is not a member here, but it would be great if you two could correspond even in emails...if you would like to..... let me know and I will check with her too... We live in Nova Scotia, Canada, and I'm sure there will be lots to talk about, and if you become really good friends, then maybe even plan on meeting each other sometime... Let me know and I will private you her email addy... etc
so nice to meet you, and drop into chat as well sometime...
lots of great people on there as well
hope you have a great day
Kim
